Argentiera is a Ghost town together with a frazione (hamlet) inwards the comune of Sassari, inwards Sardinia, Italy. It is far 43 km from Sassari. It is located inwards a narrow valley, inwards front end of the Sardinian Sea.

History
Argentiera is a sometime mining town, its elevate comes from the Italian argento, that agency silver.
The mine was exploited since the ancient era, from the Romans together with the Phoenicians. It was reopened inwards 19th century past times a Belgian company, called "Società di Corr'e boi". The French author Honoré de Balzac, explored the hamlet inwards 1838.
